Is Oman een stad?
Oman, officieel het Sultanaat Oman (Arabisch: سلطنة عُمان Salṭanat ʿUmān), is een sultanaat in West-Azië, aan de zuidoostkust van het Arabische Schiereiland. Het grenst aan de Verenigde Arabische Emiraten in het noordwesten, Saoedi-Arabië in het westen en Jemen in het zuidwesten. De oppervlakte beslaat 309.500 km².

Oman ligt in het zuidoosten van het Arabische schiereiland. Het grenst in het noordwesten aan de Verenigde Arabische Emiraten, in het westen aan Saoedi-Arabië en in het zuidwesten aan Jemen. Oman heeft ook een lange kust aan de Indische Oceaan en de Golf van Oman en een korte kust aan de Perzische Golf.

Muscat is located in northeast Oman. The Tropic of Cancer passes south of the area. It is bordered to its west by the plains of the Al Batinah Region and to its east by Ash Sharqiyah Region.
